Renderforest

We have been learning how to create animations using Renderforest. I really enjoyed being able to to chose my slides. We are going to learn how to use different parts of Renderforest. Watch this space!

Switchzoo

We have been doing descriptive writing using adjectives. Here is my swichzoo animal. It can breath under water it can hear from 10 miles away it lives for over 90 years it it can clime walls. 

3D shapes

in Pangarau we have been learning about 3D shapes and how to make them. We used blu-tac and toothpicks to create our shapes. I made a pyramid, cube and a prism.

Geo boards are awesome fun!

We have been looking at geometry this erm and learning all about angles and shapes. We have been using geo boards to practise our learning. Take a look at my screencastify to learn about different types of angles.

For our writing this term we are learning how to create poems / rotarota or creative paragraphs.
We get a new hook each day. Here are some of my pieces of writing.
We are especially focusing on imagery and using our senses.

Matariki machine

Ruin

Once upon a future long ago in 5,000 years ago. There I was alone in a place that I have never been before then while I was walking. I hear a big nose and i turn around, it’s a big block filled with staff inside i kick the block of staff. It opens and I grab a little clear device and I hold it with only one hand and it does not turn on. But then i put my other hand on the device and it turns on. I here a bang then i start to run to my moda bike and a big robot starts following me so I start spending so fast that the robot could not catch up then he brought to shooters. I was still speeding while they were coming towards me and then I grab a fire bomb and shake it down on to the ground and when they came I missed and I still keep spending down the track then we go in to a big tanol. At the end of that Tanol i shake the second and last fire bomb i had on to the top of the roof part. Then when they came the fire bomb blue them both up then i look back and i see then blown up then I start riding. Before i start going i see the big robot after that i start to speed as fast as I could and faster than ever then the robot come in front of me then i jump right on to the robot. Then we banged into each other and that was the end.

My Dream house

We have been learning how  to design our dream house. My house has 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, 1 lounge area  and the feature that I love Is my room

kupe me te wheke a muturangi

We have had a visitor in room 3 called Matua Makaore. He has shared the story of kupe me Te Wheke a Muturangi with us. we also learnt how to animate using Google slides.

Never lasting land.

    This week we have been learning how to create a piece of writing using a picture to help us. First we

     had a class brainstorm on what the picture was about, then we brainstormed some adjectives. Finally

       we started our writing. I am sharing it with , please leave me a comment. Thanks! 

One day there was a family and they were going to another country called Australia and there family trip took about 4.62 hours and then they got to Australia. Then they stayed at a new house and they all said we should live here so they all lived in Australia and then it was the next day they all went camping for one night in the woods. it took 5 hours to get there, then they finally arrived. The first thing that they all did was set up all there tents and it was so hard for the kids so there dad helped them. Then they all had a walk after setting up there tents and there walk took about 5 minutes then they were finally back and it was about to get dark so then they started the fire, made smores and made yummy hot chocolate. Then they all went to sleep. Then throw the dark night there were these stick,seaweed and these things that looked like coconuts but they weren't and while they were all sleeping those monsters where looking around the woods to make sure there were no people awake.  Then they got up and they snick into each and every tent and they went and grabbed them and waited until they woke up. Then it was the next day and the whole family was saying where are we? where are we? The monsters said you are next to us the monsters and we are going to eat you and the monsters said you have a 5 second run but they did not want to run so they stayed there until five seconds was over and then they all got eaten by the monsters.
